I picked up The Journey of Shuna a couple of weeks ago and I was so inspired to try watercoloring my comics! It would be amazing to someday make things as pretty as Yaxin.

I have never read Homestuck, but I’m doing this experiment with my friends to draw Homestuck characters based on readers’ descriptions. Here’s the description I was working off of:

NATALIE NOURIGAT
“Natalie “Tally” Nourigat was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She attended the University of Oregon and majored in Japanese Studies. She still lives in Portland because it is pretty great.
Natalie was delighted to join Periscope Studio in 2011. She works alongside some of the best writers and artists in comics. She splits her time between commercial work, personal projects, and studio shenanigans. (You can see a list of Natalie’s published works here.)
She studies French with her mother in preparation for a mother/daughter trip to France this fall. Natalie enjoys travel, piano music, Ghibli movies, golf, hiking, martial arts, and coffee.”
