Tally Marks #4 is now available for pre-order! The comic comes out October 29, and it has THIRTY-FOUR new sketchbook pages from Paris, Valberg, Amiens, Lyon, Nice, and Angoulême!
A short story idea that I turned into storyboards and, later, this animatic!
Made for my story artist portfolio: (natalienourigat.daportfolio.com/) I’m visiting Burbank November 6-9 to visit a friend and tour animation studios, and I wanted my portfolio a little spruced up. :)
Frames drawn in Manga Studio 5 (I use a brush pack by Frenden) and Photoshop CS4. Video assembled in Windows Movie Maker.
New Home Is Where The Internet Is: don’t mix the Paris Metro and funny podcasts!
I’m considering drawing my next graphic novel digitally! It’s been so much fun learning HOW to draw digitally with Home Is Where The Internet Is. I can change things easily, see what it will look like with color before I even ink, cut out scanning and cleaning up scans… I like drawing digitally more than I ever thought I would.
Layouts and backgrounds are still tricky. Page flow is easier for me when I can hold and flip sheets of paper.
I can’t resist an outfit meme! I…wasn’t even tagged by anyone…I just saw it on Olivia Huynh’s tumblr.
And I’m hereby tagging anyone who wants to do it! :D
Tally Marks #3 comes out October 1, and you can pre-order it now! :D
This might be my favorite issue, because there was so much turmoil in my life last December—recently unemployed, couch surfing in a foreign country, visiting friends in London for my first holidays away from my family, not knowing what would come next…it was scary and exciting and lead to a lot of dynamic drawings. I feel like I did some of my best work in London.
I hope you’ll check it out!
I’ve got a treat for you night-owls still online: new Home Is Where The Internet Is! :D
Reblogging because it’s OUT TODAY! :DDD
